About Us
First Steps is a local family owned center that offers affordable prices. The owners have over 20 years of experience and the director has nearly 15 years of experience. Sarah or a manager is always available to sit and chat with parents about any questions or concerns that they might have. Each of the rooms in First Steps do at least three activities per day with their kids. These daily activities are all based on a weekly theme. If you are interested in visiting First Steps Childcare Center, you can receive a personal tour by a manager with your child(ren)!
Directors, Owners, and Staff
First Steps Childcare Center is an affordable daycare center with locations in Grimes and Waukee. The centers have been ran and owned by Phil and Ruth Kausalik since 1999 and directed by their daughter, Sarah Strominger, since 2006. The center provides care for infants 3 months old up to students in 5th grade. The centers have amazing staff who work with the kids by doing daily activities based on a theme each week.
